I love performing and playing house shows. the intimate and direct interaction with an audience is truly something special. it’s always a special and unique evening of music, laughter, and connection.
If you’ve got a space and some friends, you can host one too. I’m keeping things simple, and below you’ll find all the info you need.
Hosting A Michael Benjamin House Show
If you’re looking to book me for a wedding or corporate event, feel free to get in touch—pricing for those is different, and I’d be happy to talk details.

what to expect
I’ll arrive around 2–3 hours before your guests to set up. Setup takes 30–40 minutes, and then I’d love something to eat and a quiet space to rest for a bit.
The concert usually lasts 60–90 minutes, and can start whenever works best for you. Even a Sunday brunch show is possible.
I’ll play songs, talk a little about my journey, and just enjoy the evening with everyone. After the music, I like to stick around and chat—it often becomes a lovely, long evening.
where I play
I perform mostly in Switzerland and across Europe.
In Switzerland, I can come for a single show.
For other countries, I try to group a few concerts together. So if you’re outside of Switzerland, let me know your city and availability and maybe we can make something work.
what you need as a host
A house, garden, or space that fits at least 30 people
Friends who want to experience a night of music
A power outlet
A small space where I can have some privacy before the show
Something to eat before the performance
A place to sleep (a guestroom is perfect, or a hotel nearby)
I bring all the equipment needed. In smaller spaces, I love playing unplugged, but this can vary depending on the room and the vibe.
money, money, money
The show itself is free for your guests, and we’ll pass a hat or do a collection at the end of the night.
I recommend suggesting a 20 CHF/Euro donation per person.
That usually brings in a minimum of 600.–, which makes the evening sustainable for me.
To make it work financially, I ask the host for a guarantee of 500.–.
This means:
If the guests contribute 500.– or more, you don’t pay anything.
If the collection falls short, you fill in the rest.
For example:
15 guests paying 15.– = 225.– collected
You’d fill in the missing 275.–
